Where are my Friends and Family

I dreamed last night, I had the perfect house and the perfect view. . Usually, there is the sound of traffic, or the neighbor’s dog. Today, nothing.
No dogs barking or normal sounds of the morning. The view is spectacular—a perfect, panoramic postcard of rolling hills or a glittering skyline, completely yours. Downstairs, the keys to a pristine, high-end car rest on the marble countertop.
It is everything you ever wanted. The exact checklist of success you spent years visualizing.
You pick up your phone to share it. You want to call your mom, or your best friend, or your partner. You want to hear them gasp, to laugh with them, to say, "I actually did it."
You press dial.
“We’re sorry, the number you have dialed is not in service.”
You frown. A glitch. You try another number. Your sibling. Your closest coworker. A cousin.
“The number you have dialed is not in service.”
The automated voice is cold, flat, and perfectly clear.
You try texting and it says undeliverable. The technology is working perfectly, but the network is a ghost town.
You start to panic
You run to the garage. The car starts perfectly. You hit the garage door opener, and the bright, sunlight floods the space. You drive out onto the streets, expecting to see people walking dogs, mail carriers, or commuters.
The roads are empty. Cars are parked neatly at the curbs, keys gone.
You drive to their houses. You knock on the doors of the people you love. The structures are there, the lawns are manicured, the morning coffee pots, still warm, but the people are gone.
Returning to your perfect house, the realization settles in.
The view out the window doesn't look beautiful anymore; it looks like a painting in an empty museum. The high-end kitchen feels like a movie set. You realize a terrifying truth. Material success is not that important. It is about sharing it with the people you love.
Without them, the nice house is just a large, cage. The car is just a fast way to travel. While you may be rich. You are emotionally bankrupt and nothing matters. So hug the people you love and let them know how you feel. I did wake up from this dream but it could happen. So just remem

ber everyday counts.
